Welcome To Terra Perma

If you live in the metro Atlanta area and feel drawn to the notions of a sustainable lifestyle we invite you to join our journey towards a better future. We are exploring our resources and learning new ways to be connected through our actions. We’d love your input and presence as we build TERRA PERMA.

We seek to bridge like-minded businesses, groups, organizations and individuals. To empower all of us to make the right choices and to recognize their part in the whole. We want to give ourselves a more cohesive and stronger voice in our existing regenerative culture. So we become capable to tackle important issues which our generation will surley face in the coming years. Since our governments are becoming less and less reliable in being able to protect and provide, we need to figure out ways to become self sustainable.

Strengthening our communities by building an infastructure within ourselves is one way we hope to do this. By shopping locally, eating locally, and participating in local events we help keep our money in our own communities, and in our own lives.

Currently we are working on forming a permaculture umbrella group for the southeast combining the concepts of socially and environmentally conscious practices, local networking, and local economies.

See our link page to empower yourself and your community!

LATEST NEWS

Our May eighth workshop went fantastically well!  Thanks to the band MTM and friends we enjoyed live music playing from the front porch all day long while we toiled away in the garden planting potatoes and corn.  It was supposed to rain but it turned out to be a beautiful breazy 75 degree day.  The corn has already started sprouting and the lower garden is beginning to take shape.  A big thank you to everyone who came out to help.  The next event on the horizon is a straight up house party, no work involved, on the evening of June 2nd.  Featuring music from our favorite band MTM.  It’s a BYOB and there is some bedding and room for sleeping but just in case bring a blanket and pillow.

I saw the ad on Craigslist for the house sharing, I will suggest it to people I hope fit well. I would love to take part but I have a 9 year old daughter and for my own reasons I am looking to live alone until she gets a bit older. I am willing to come out and help with whatever I can do for you guys/the earth/my organic loving belly! Please contact me when you have the time so I can come out and look at the place, it sounds absolutely amazing and something I definitely want to be part of. This rain sure is a good way to prevent another drought:)
