Pre-festival Retreat! 12/12 and 13

December 12 & 13th

TerraPerma has been formed to help facilitate the networking of like minded communities in north Georgia and the metro Atlanta area. With a strong basis on permaculture and sustainability we are hosting our first annual TerraPerma Festival, and we want your help. The festival will be held in the spring in Atlanta. It will be a festival with music, art, vendors, workshops, and lectures.

The two day weekend on December 12th and 13th is an invitation only meeting which will take place in Canton, GA to discuss how we can bring all of our ideas to the community. This will be the 3rd retreat and we host them monthly.  Spend Friday and Saturday touring the Canton, GA permaculture site, working in the garden, making art, and discussing plans for the festival.  You may come up Friday night and contribute to a potluck. Saturday we will all cook a big dinner. Feel free to spend both nights out at the farm.  We have many spare rooms and beds, although you might want to bring your own sleeping supply for we don’t know if we will have enough beds.  You can bring guests as long as you communicate that to us, preferably through email. And pets are more than welcome, the only requirement being that they have to get along with other animals, cats included.  But we do have a big dog pen to keep them all in, and lots of space to run around. Please RSVP to the following email help@terraperma.org

DIRECTIONS

Coming from Atlanta: Take 75 North to 575 North.  Get off on exit 19A -Hwy 20 east. Take a Right off of the Exit.  Continue on Hwy 20 East for roughly 10 miles.  Make a Right onto East Cherokee (There will be a Waffle House and a Kroger at the intersection). After roughly five miles you will see a neighborhood called Woodmont country club and golf, the sign will be a big brick structure with a W.  Take a Left into Woodmont Country Club and Golf. Go all the way through the subdivision, past the golf course and then up a hill. Once you are past the hill the next gravel driveway on the right is ours.  It is very hard to miss so a couple of pointers are as follows; the mailbox for 1937 is directly across the street from our mailbox. And if you’ve hit a four way stop or seen a sign for Tanglewood Farms, then you’ve gone too far. Once your on the driveway there will be a house immediately to your left but that is not our house.  Continue down the driveway until you can make a left hand turn. Turn left and Park.

Coming From the East: Take Hwy 20 West Until you hit East Cherokee.  Make a Left onto East Cherokee and then follow directions above.

If anybody else needs directions, that are not up here please contact us, we’d be happy to help you find us.
