Winter Hiking In Utah

For those looking for fun off the slopes, Aspen Snowmass offers wonderful trails to cross-country ski and snowshoe on. The Aspen Cross Country Center grooms 60 kilometers of lovely trails. The Ashcroft Ski Touring center, located 12 miles above Aspen, also offers excellent terrain for all levels of Nordic skiers. Located at 9,500 feet, the snow conditions are ideal here all winter long. There are miles and miles of Nordic and snowshoe trails to take advantage of in the Aspen Snowmass area, and this is a great winter activity when you don't feel like hitting the slopes.
